Of the three books of this trilogy, the second was the most compelling! I could not put it down until I completed reading it in a week! Perhaps Mr. Matthews wanted to finish the trilogy quickly, as it felt like the third book raced into and out situations faster than before. At times I could not believe Mr. Matthews was allowed to divulge so much about international espionage between Russia and the U.S.? I purchased the trilogy immediately after I read all of them and and sent them to a buddy of mine knowing how he would also " feel the heat of the pages " coming at you like a locomotive going to a crashing conclusion! Was delighted with Mr. Matthew's intellect and writing abilities. Kudos to Mr. Matthews! It took me three nights to ponder how the third book would end, and how many other possible plots could have occurred.

There just aren't many three book series like this one. I bought the red sparrow and read it first, then before I finished it, I bought the second and then the third. The first two were really Exciting to me and I wondered if the third would be as interesting to read. A little twist gave me goosebumps, the Russian hEROINE HAS AN UNUSUAL TALENT GIVEN AT BIRTH THAT MAKES HER UNIQUE AND SHE USES THIS TALENT HER WHOLE LIFETIME. I feel that giving away the secret that she has a talent beyond the natural may just intrigue new readers. I hope Mr Matthews has already embarked on #4. Our heroine is truly worth more stories about her....I am standing in line!!! joankbl

The Red Sparrow trilogy is one of the best book series that I have read in some time. The characters are well developed. The plot has intricate detail, suspense and complicated twists & turns. Too many books I read lately are very predictable - not the Red Sparrow series! Read it & enjoy!

The best story-telling author on the horizon today. Can't wait for his next book. Hurry, hurry, Jason. Absolutely loved the Sparrow trilogy, though the ending of The Kremlin's Candidate made me cry. Just sayin'.....
